I believe that each individual treads their own and unique path towards change. I also believe that for change to occur, people need a safe, warm, and protected environment where they can reflect on themselves and their lives in the presence of a non-judgmental and caring witness. For many people, the therapeutic encounter is the first time in their lives when they feel deeply seen and heard.

My practice is guided by the principle that our physical, emotional, and mental levels of experiences are interconnected and affect each other. I work from a well integrated framework that combines depth-oriented psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral approaches, expressive arts therapy, somatic therapy, and mindfulness-based practices to effect changes on all those levels. In other words, in the process of change, body, mind and emotion are engaged and transformed.

I am bilingual and offer psychotherapy in both English and Portuguese.
